Minnesota Wild forward Jason Zucker will host a fundraiser to benefit the family of Tucker Helstrom and the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital on Thursday, July 21, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at SEVEN Event Destination in downtown Minneapolis.
On Saturday, July 2, 9-year-old Tucker Helstrom lost his battle to cancer after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, in the fall of 2015. During his battle with cancer, Tucker and his family attended numerous Minnesota Wild games, visited with the players and developed a strong friendship with Jason andhis fiancé, Carly Aplin. Though Jason and Carly’s time with Tucker was short, the lessons they learned from the Helstrom family about friendship, strength and the power of positivity will stay with them forever.
Tickets to this fundraiser (must be 21-or-older) include heavy appetizers, a complimentary cocktail hour from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and Budweiser products throughout the evening, plus the opportunity to meet and get autographs and pictures from the following celebrities: Ryan Carter, Charlie Coyle, Chris Porter, Chad Greenway, Kyle Rudolph, Corey Koskie, Chris Hawkey, and Paul Lambert, Randall McDaniel, Mark Parrish, Bill Scherk, Jordan Schroeder, Jamie Watson, Erik Stolhanske, and Jason Zucker.
Additional celebrities will be announced until July 21.
All proceeds will support the Tucker's family and families like theirs at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital.
